SCOTT CRANFORD
Certified Master Softball Instructor and Founder of COREPOWER Sports
Scott has been successfully coaching and developing athletes at all levels for over 20 years. As a two sport D1 college athlete, he has unique insight into what it takes to be an elite competitor. His commitment is to provide players with the THE BEST softball instruction by using his experience and skills to help players create an opportunity to play and be highly successful at the collegiate level.
Scott's leadership and coaching experience has been developed as an executive for a number of highly successful high tech companies and as Head Coach of numerous successful travelball teams in Southern California. After 30 years in the corporate world, Scott made the "all in" decision to pursue his passion of being a full time softball instructor. He is the founder of COREPOWER Sports, a comprehensive athlete development program. All of the player development programs that his company offers have been carefully designed to achieve high level physical and mental performance at age appropriate levels. To achieve this, he has collaborated with the best softball instructors in the industry, including: "Softball Pitching Guru", Denny Tincher; 5-time National Championship Softball Coach, Southern California CIF D1 Championship Coach, and CIF High School Coach of Year, Mark Campbell; and the legendary 12-time ASA 18U Gold National Championship Coach, Phil Bruder. Scott firmly believes to be a great instructor and/or coach, one must first be a great student.
"Learning is not a spectator sport."
D. Blocher
Scott’s core belief is that to be a great player, an athlete must be truly passionate about their sport and their goals. The passion to compete is the motivational foundation that drives an athlete to work hard, stretch beyond their comfort zone, and make the necessary sacrifices to realize their potential on and off the field. To Scott, there is nothing more professionally fulfilling than to be part of a young athletes journey. Witnessing the growth of an athlete as they put in hours of hardwork, face adversity head on, and develop leadership skills so they can use softball as a healthy tool to get a great education is priceless.
Scott is married to Andrée and is the proud father of two daughters and two sons.
